A serious performace regression was discovered 2026.09 in BoingIconBar. If you are using it in your distribution/installation, be sure to update it with attached binary.
BoingIconBar is still having issues; it interferes with windows, the GUI, and the Shell—see the short video.
With the help of I.A. I've fixed this issue and made some improvements, and I'll be making some changes to the settings menu as well.
There was a bug report with graphical damage when Amelium is opened on separate screen. I made a workaround for that bug. See attached. The workaround is risky and might have side effect. If you see issues with switching/pulling down screens after this workaround, please let me know.
Ok, you are right. The Extras/Rexx/RX seems to be an old, standlone interpretter. You can keep it where it is in Extras: or delete it. Don't overwrite SYS:Rexxc/RX with.
Hmm, what do you mean by "Contrib"? The 2026.09 contrib package (https://www.axrt.org/download/aros/v11/AROS-202609-any-x86_64-contrib.tar.gz) doesn't have RX command.
@deadwood
In Contrib, there is an RX version that is 344 KB in size—much larger than the one in Build 202609, which is only 20.7 KB. Which of the two should I choose for the new Aros One?
Here is a stability fix for e1000.device network driver. Using it could lead to memory corruption and system freeze. Issue analyzed by kaffeine and fixed by terminills.
The new version of Dopus4 also has a new bug: occasionally, if you select all the files in a folder “with the mouse,” the Delete button doesn't work; however, if you select just one file, the Delete button works!
If you use the “All” button (internal command) instead of the mouse to select all the files, the Delete button works fine.
These are old bugs that I’ve also found in the new version; Read has issues with fonts—with some fonts, you can use it, but then the problem comes back.
Furthermore, Dopus 4.17pre19, as used by AROS, was supposed to automatically extract archives supported by xadmaster.library, converting the archive into a directory.
This option works on Amiga OS 3 if you add “FORCEOPENXAD” to the Dopus 4 tooltypes icon, but it doesn’t work on AROS, however, when you double-click, you have to remove the decompressors; otherwise, it won't work.
Dopus4's internal “Read” view in the search request displays strange characters; the search doesn't work, and for some files, “Read” freezes the system.
Every now and then, when you copy files, even after the copy is finished, the small window remains open—but it's a fake window; if you move the screen, it disappears.
Occasionally, when working in Dopus, the mouse pointer splits in two or displays a rectangle with artifacts inside it; clicking anywhere restores the pointer to normal.
@AMIGASYSTEM - Deadwood: I noticed a problem when you accidentally drag an app icon onto another app icon; if you try to close it, instead of closing, the notifications multiply, see the attached video.
With help of Telematix I prepared a fix for the issue of not beeing able to close the IO error window. See attached.

In the Shell, if you type or paste text up to the limit supported by the Shell, the Shell can no longer be closed.
With AROS One on VMware, I always have that annoying problem (even after updating to ABIv11 64-bit 2026.09) where if I copy and paste in the Shell, the system freezes; with the ABIv11 64-bit 2026.09 build, this doesn’t happen.
Strangely enough, if it doesn’t happen on the first copy-and-paste, the freeze won’t happen again!
On a native PC, AROS One itself doesn’t have this problem!

Okay, I've decided to take the easiest route: I'll start from scratch by building AROS One based on Build 2026.09.
There probably won't be any updates this time; otherwise, AROS One users will run into problems.
