Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. On the motherboard - glad it works - it's a sister-board to one of the recommended ones, so it will be helpful with testing the upcoming release.

On the driver itself: it's not written from scratch, that would be way too compilated. It's a port of nouveau open source driver. Along with the driver itself I ported pieces of supporting architecture so now porting the IntelHD open source driver should be easier. There is a person who showed some initial interested in porting the IntelHD driver but we have to wait and see if that comes to fruition.

Thank you. I meant above if you want to make a driver for the next Geforce gen (well, it's actually 2 gen ahead from Maxwell) I can put my GTX 1650 into my AROS machine for testing - by the way it's an i5-3570s plus ASUS P8Z68-M Pro plus 16 GB of RAM and all work well.
Out of curiosity: are there plans for Intel HD support? How do you implemented these gfx drivers? I don't believe you do some retro engineering, maybe usually you look at their open-source counterparts in Linux, isn't it? What could it be a starting point (particular source code, documentation, etc.)?

Supported cards: from GF8/GF9 series (Tesla) up to GTX 9xx series (Maxwell)

There are two ways you can get the driver:

a) if you want to install it on your existing installation (must be 20250418-U3/AROS One 1.3) you can use these files: https://axrt.org/development/NVidia-49.7.zip

Ok, thanks. I'm going to buy one of those cheap gfx card soon for my AROS machine I've built recently - the internal Intel HD2500 is fine but not exceptional even for AROS. By the way I have a Gtx 1650 Super on my main PC, too, although I wasn't never able to launch AROS natively there, maybe it doesn't like the chipset of my motherboard (an ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0)...

We are planning to do a short promo video on the NVidia driver work in coming days. I don't know if there is a writeup on 64-bit AROS history - note that this would be have to span probabaly 15 years of AROS development - first 64-bit bit work was already happening a long time ago.

Many thanks again for the hugh amount of work this must have taken - the results are absolutely stunning and yet again set AROS aside from rest of teh Amiga's children.

Question: is anyone planning to do a YouTube video or internet-based write-up on this and the overall development of 64 bit AROS? f so I'll try to put in a 'tip' over on Hackaday to see if they can be persuaded to cover feature it.

What are the best supported Geforce cards now? I see on eBay for example a lot of GTX 5x0/6x0 sold for £10 or little bit more...

Looking good - I've restarted the GLExcess demo multiple times and not one issue. I also tried teapot again; that was previously giving 16 FPS but now its up to about 380!

I also installed the libraries to my i5 laptop, This is just VESA but there seems to be no ill effects from having these libraries present.

Good. I have this error on my plate next. Did you do anything special with GLExcess when you go this error? Like running it longer that previous two times?

Latest driver tried with my i7 GTX970 + new kernal - looking good, feels more stable than the previous verion. I tried the GLExcess demo which was very impressive, but on running for the third time I did get an error - please see attached.

Yes, it's in the range of supported chips. Please try it. With 9xx series be sure to install NVidia firmware files - these cards won't work without them.
