@deadwood - Regarding rounded frames: it's for frames around UI elements, like a Group frame can be rounded.
This new option is found in Zune Prefs. You need to be careful where you use it. For example, if you use rounding in the ‘Sliders (Cursors)’ section, some buttons will disappear on some apps. You can see this on Mplayer, where the volume button will disappear if the Windows Theme has a light colour.
If, on the other hand, the theme colour is dark, the button will be displayed without a border, as shown in the screenshot. In practice, the rounded function does not allow you to add a border to the button, as shown in the comparison screenshot.

5 months agoWith this Nightly build Testing on VMware, if you try to disable “Start networking during system boot” and save, the operating system will crash. With the reference build 20250418-1 + U2, this problem does not exist!
EDIT:
I reinstalled it and now the system lock seems to be gone.
This error just popped up for me. At the time I'd just closed AROSpdf which was struggling to render a document and I'd just started pdftops (vua emuv0) to try comverting it to a PS file to see if that would help. OWB was also running.
Cheers,
Nigel.

This looks like a memory damage. If it is reproducible, it might be possible to trace it down.

4 months agoIt works very well at the moment. I have done some tests, and the search with replacement works. I have tested it on many files and no Guru has appeared. Thank you.
There is still a problem with Zune prefs - at least on my i5 native.
Context: I've been running a from-scratch install of the most recently released 64 bit nightly (not the USB testing one, the normal nightly). The prefs were as set in that nightly until today when I finally decided to customise it.
I changed Wanderer prefs - window backdrop, number of lines for icon name, icon ordering; no issues.
Then I set Zune prefs to save window positions on exit; this was the only change made. After this the system started to lock-up or hard-reset the machine on copying a file using Wanderer or trying to run a program from Wanderer. The menu and shell still worked, and via that I was able to get the machine running stabily again by deleting all Zune prefs (prorgam prefs and global prefs).
I'll try rebuilding setting the prefs again and see what happens.
Cheers,
Nigel.
Edit: Just tried re-setting 'save window position on exit' in Zune prefs => error returns. Deleting all entires in ennvarc:zune => system works again. Please note the error only appears after the system has been rebooted following editing Zune prefs.
Edit 2: The system continued to be unstable. Trying to copy a file from a USB drive crashed the machine, and even using the scrollbar in the USB's window caused a crash. Deleting wanderer.prefs seems to have fixed the problem, but it seems there's still an issue with editing these prefs.

4 months agoOK, I've pinned down the Wanderer prefs bug (system locks up on moving window scrollbar), but it is weirdly specific. It appears when you set windows to have multiline labels but only, I'm finding, with a USB stick window and then not at the top level, it's within a drawer's window. The USB stick is FAT formatted.
Cheers,
Nigel.

@AMIGASYSTEM - ntromans, I have run your PDF file dozens of times on Aros One, scrolled through many pages, and no Guru has appeared. !
Are you using the correct version that fixed the strange characters problem? You can find it attached to this post:
https://mail.aros...ost=latest
Before running ArosPDF, did you run any other applications?
Is there any command in user-startup that is executed at system startup?
The new version of AROSpdf gives an error on closing with some PDFs. This error does not occur with the previous version. Please see attached for the error and a PDF which causes it.
Cheers,
Nigel.

I tested your PDF document and even with this I did not find any Guru, I have attached a short demonstration video!
Which Buitd are you using? Describe the nomenclature !
